John M. Grui of Ferndale died at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Warren February 22, 2010. He was 62 years old. John was born January 2, 1948 in Highland Park, Michigan.

John is survived by his sons, John and Nicholas Grui, his brother, Nick (Judi) Grui , and nephew, Michael (Joanne) Grui and great necies and nephews, Amber

Visitation at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Friday 9am until time of funeral service, 12noon. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.

In lieu of flowers, family is accepting donations.

I am so sorry....I worked with John at DeMattia for many years and then we both got laid off and I saw him again when he applied for the current company I am at...I just got this message today. He was the nicest man. Fabulous superintendent to work with. A great guy. My prayers are with the family and all his friends.

Very sorry to hear about John's passing. He was a good friend during our high school years in Highland Park. I had the opportunity to bump into him at Parkway Chrysler a number of years ago. We had a great visit reliving old adventures from our HP days. He was a class person with a great heart, he will be missed.

Especially sorry to hear of John's health problems and passing. I went to and graduated from Highland Park High School with him. I remember him as a fun loving, yet focused guy. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family. May you take heart in the knowledge that he is now at peace and his suffering over.
