Mary Jane Love passed away February 19, 2010. 

Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Russell and Mabel Cooley.  She graduated from Cass Technical High School.  Mary married her high school sweetheart William “Bill” Love, and was happily married for 72 years.  Along with her husband they owned and operated a wonderful business serving shoe repairmen in Michigan and surrounding Midwest states.  They had three daughters, Ella, Idette, and Dale.  Mary was in the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and the Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America.  She was president of the Raymond Zussman  Auxiliary 333 of the Jewish War Veterans.  Mary was a true philanthropist and had a soft spot in her heart for those in need.  She was generous to a fault with her family, friends, workers, charitable organizations and individuals unknown to her that needed help.  Mary was a loving, kind-hearted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband William Love, her daughter, Idette Louise Wright and her sisters, Blanche Johnson and Ruth Ellis. 

She is survived by daughter Ella and her husband Douglas Sprung, and daughter Dale Diane Phillips.  She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren:  Sandy Wright Goetz and her husband Brian and their children Jarad, Parker, Ian, Brianna; Steven Sprung and his wife Mary and their children Madison, Lindsay, Kristin; Teri Wright and her children Kayla, Brent, Hunter; Bill Wright and his wife Jody and their children Will, Jana; Andrea Sprung Arnhold and her husband Rick and their son Noah; Joe Walts and his wife Rachel and their daughter Mia; Christopher Walts and his wife Natalie and many loving extended family members and dear friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, on Monday, Feb. 22, at 12 Noon, with Pastor Mark Jensen officiating. Burial White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. Friends may visit Sunday 2-5PM and Monday 11AM until the time of service. Memorials may be made in her name to Shriners Hospitals for Children or Arbor Hospice.
