"Mr. Spencer" was one of our daughter Hayden's very favorite after care and Summer progam teachers. I had the opportunity to watch Hayden at play a couple of times and always noticed what a remarkable connection and bond Spencer had with all of the children. They were drawn to his kindness and his ability to make them smile. Our prayers are with his family and all of those who loved him. You made the world a brighter place Spencer. You really did.

Mark and Kimberly Middlewood

Dear Tina and family, I am so sad to hear the tragic news of Spencer's untimely death. I can't begin to imagine what you're going through and how deeply you all must be hurting. Losing a child has to be the hardest thing a parent must endure. The fact that Spencer was in the prime of his life, is especially difficult. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that the love of your family and friends will help carry you through. And may your memories of the short time you had Spencer in your life sustain you.

Spencer was patron of a comic book store I use to worked at. He started coming in at age 14. over the years we became good friends. For awhile every sunday night him and a bunch of other would come by my place and we would play magic the gathering all night long. I looked up to him...he was one of those good friends that made you want to be a better person. You always saw the best in me Spencer and you were the best at being a great person.

Dear Tina And Family, My experience with Spencer was in watching him help children as the school day ended, while he helped gather them into the right line for the bus. At such a busy time of the day, he had patience and warmth while making sure each one was in the right place. Then I learned from many that he was loved and admired by the children and staff at Clawson Childcare. With news of the recent accident, I learned that this young man that I had watched was your son, Tina. You and your family, as well as all his other families, are in my prayers. May God be at your side.

Deborah Nickles

We never get used to the death of someone we love, because we truly were not created to die,but to live! But it is important to remember that when people die they leave something very special behind...They leave us memories of the things they said and did. As long as we have those memories the people we love will live on in our hearts and minds. In the Bible, God tells us at John 5:28-29 that our loved ones will not be forsaken by Him. Just as you will cherish memories of your Spencer, God will remember him too and will awaken him from death's sleep to live again...May you find comfort in God's promises soon to come true, and may your memories help you to endure your loss... My Deepest Sympathy to You All!!!

I also Knew Spencer from the comic shop. He was a polite kid that grew to be a fine young man. It has hit us pretty hard that he was taken away so young. He always had a kind word, and was really good at cheering me up if I was down. He was a bright spot in the room, and he will be sorely missed.

Kitty Dunn

Even though I only just met Spencer a few months ago by working with him at summer camp I will never forget him. Despite the fact that I was new to camp this year and didn't really know anyone he was so sweet to me from day one and really made me feel like I was part of the clawson child care family. I looked forward to going into work everyday because of all of the laughs and smiles he provided. He was so wonderful, kind and patient with the kids and I only hope that one day I can be half of the teacher he was. Spencer made a difference in the lives of so many people and he will be truly missed.
